Old Wedding Photo Friday!

Today’s gorgeous vintage bride is Madge Elliott. The Australian thespian married Cyril Joseph Ritchard on September 16, 1935 at the St. Mary’s Cathedral in Sydney. I’m not sure if there is another wedding that has been photographed so wonderfully. The shots of her dress and veil blowing in the wind are just magical.

The bride’s gown was made of stiffened lace and was fitted from the bodice to about her mid-thigh. And her veil was exceptionally long.

Aren’t the groomsmen super stylish. Love the top hats and tails!

The bridesmaids wore china blue gowns.

The bride carried white lilies. It looks like she is running here, but I think she’s just pushing against the wind.

I hope you really enjoyed this week’s old wedding photos. This might be my favorite.
